If you haven't already created an account, visit the above url and click on the 'Sign Up' link (see below):
To create your VisualCortex account, simply:
Enter your company name
Agree to the VisualCortex Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Sync with your Google or Microsoft account
Sign-up trouble-shooting tips:
Your Company Name is already taken: Contact the creator of that Organization on platform.visualcortex, so that they can add you to it. Or, reach out to support@visualcortex.com with the Company Name and we'll reach out to the creator on your behalf
You don't want to sync your VisualCortex account to a Google or Microsoft account: Email support@visualcortex.com with the Company Name and Business Email you'd like to use. We'll then create an account for you. Follow-up instructions for activating your account will follow.
Adding and modifying Users and User Groups (for users with Administration access for their VisualCortex organization on platform.visualcortex.com)
Login to platform. visualcortex.com and select the organization account for which you're a designated administrator.
Once logged in, click the configuration button in the left hand side control panel
Within the Configuration area, there are two options to help manage users and their access to content within your VisualCortex account:
Adding and editing individual users
Creating and assigning users to specific groups, in order to partition and control the content to which the have access
User Management
After selecting 'User Management' within the Configuration area, you'll be presented with the Users home page. Here, you can see a list of all active users within your VisualCortex organization, as well as create new users and filter existing users by 'enabled' and disabled' status (blue buttons in the top right corner).
After clicking on the '+ Create User' button, you're presented with a simple set of four fields to complete in order to add an additional user to your VisualCortex organization.
Enter a first and last name for the new user
Select an email address that this user will utilize to access platform.visualcortex.com (Hint: consult with potential new users about their preferred email address before creating their user account). Also keep in mind the following options with regards to email selection:
a) Users will need to sync with their Google or Microsoft account
b) If users don't want to sync their VisualCortex account to a Google or Microsoft account, please support@visualcortex.com with the Company Name and Business Email they'd like to use. VisualCortex will then create an account for that user on their behalf
Choose a role for the new user. Initially, this will be either standard user, or an administrator. Administrators can add and manage other users and content. Standard users cannot manage users or user groups. They can only view content shared with them and / or the user group of which they're part. Standard users can only edit content if they've been given additional editing permissions.
Once finished, hit the blue 'Save' button on the right of the screen, underneath the 'Role' field.
Finally, once users have been created, Administrators within platform.visualcortex.com will need to share the newly assigned login credentials. Here's what you need to share with new users, which will enable them to active their VisualCortex user:
The login link: platform.visualcortex.com/login
The organization name of your VisualCortex account
The email address you assigned to their user
To edit account details for specific users, navigate to the Configuration page and click on the named tile for that user.
Aside from changing user login credentials, you can also disable / re-enable user access to the VisualCortex platform. To do so, simply click the button beneath the 'Role' field on the left hand side.
When you want to edit credentials for -- or re-activate -- disable users, simply apply the 'Filter' button in the top right of the 'Users' page.
Group Management
To create and edit Groups in platform.visualcortex.com, navigate to the Configuration home page (tool icon in the left hand side control panel) and click on the 'Groups' tile.
From there, add a new User Group by clicking on the blue '+ New Group' button in the top right hand corner.
A light-box will appear, where you can group details, including:
The name of the group, which will be ween throughout the user interface
A description of the group that clearly articulates the business function and / or type of video analytics being produced and analyzed
Once the group name and description are finished, click the blue 'Save' button in the bottom right corner of the light-box pop-up.
To add users to the group you've created, click the blue '+ Add Member' button in the top right corner of the Group's homepage.
From there, search by name or email address to add specific users to your Group.
To remove users from a group, simply click on the trash can icon next to a specific user within your group.
